Scent of my Rockport Summers

From the moment I lit this lovely candle
I was back at our house on Penzance Road
Climbing on the rocks with the scent of the Beach Roses my Granny loved to tend at the edge of our back lawn
First to lay claim to the throne of the Sea Queen
As we stood bravely on the highest rock as we waited for the twin lights to signal the pirate ship to sailing around Thacher Island
